Business Mentoring Program
Existing Ankeny businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups seeking a business mentor can find it at the Chamber through the Hub Committee. An experienced business leader will connect the client with an appropriate and experienced mentor. Once paired, mentors are available on a scheduled basis, and at no cost for an initial consultation. Mentor experiences range from marketing, legal, finance, and accounting to real estate, insurance, and more.
Do I need to be a Chamber member?
No, you do not need to be a member of the Chamber to participate in the mentoring program.
What is the cost to have a mentor?
The Chamber mentoring program is free to both Chamber members and non-members.
What business stage should I be in to have a mentor?
There is no specific business stage you need to be in to have a mentor. Mentees can range from an entrepreneur with a business idea to a veteran business owner and every stage in between.
What should I expect from the mentor/mentee relationship?
Mentors will be matched with mentees based on what was identified as an area where help is needed. Mentors understand their role as an advisor. It will be up to the mentee to maximize the relationship.
