The Ankeny Alumni Association invites all fans of Iowa State and University of Northern Iowa football to attend a tailgate prior to the ISU v. UNI football game on Saturday, September 25th at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.
A tailgate meal of pulled-pork sandwiches will be provided by the Cyclone Gridiron Club's "Gridiron Grillers"; tickets for the meal are available for purchase via the Alumni Association's website at www.ankenyalumni.org.
In addition, the Alumni Association is selling reduced-price tickets to the game (first-come, first-served--limited # available, and the game is expected to sell out!).

The Ankeny School Foundation’s 2010 WingDing and tenth anniversary celebration will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Courtyard by Marriott Ankeny. An hors d’oeuvre reception and silent auction begin at 6 pm with the live auction at 7:30 pm. Cost is $25 per person; a reserved table for eight is $300. The WingDing is the foundation’s major fundraising event for 2010. All profits go toward funding the foundation grant program. More than $125,000 has been awarded to Ankeny students during the past 10 years through the generous donations of the community and alumni. The Ankeny Area Historical Society will holding it’s monthly open house on October 3, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at their two museums located at 301 SW Third St. You will find a century-old 2-story farmhouse and a replica barn filled with artifacts and displays that brings the area’s past to life. In the barn, artifacts from the Des Moines Ordnance Plant located in Ankeny during World War II. In the house find a room filled with toys from the past.
